The Envoking
Description: This is essentially the same setup as for Waypoint. The "speckle"-terrains were removed and the foreground material exchanged by one David sent me. Because of the different material and lighting, the seam were the two terrains nudge became visible and I had to hide this with a larger puddle and a tree. All trees were replaced and are now selfmade in the tree editor.

There is still the photograph of the sky, this time lit by a negative red radial to make the clouds black. The HDRI ?SpaceClouds? I made from one of David's cube renders gives light to the scene (Quality 16, Intensity 10, HDRI-Effect 55, X=270?, Y=45?) and blends with the partly transparent sky picture. There are two blueish radials on the in- and outside of the Old Tower Ruin (from DAZ3D) and a narrow massive cone. Colour adjustment in Photoshop.

Very dramatic. Grass material looks much better. Is that lightning coming from the sky? The scene is very violent with it's atmosphere and the barren trees. Cool!

Yes Rashad. Except for the radials among the ruin, all light comes from the HDRI - all around the scene.

Now this is something I'd want to witness in the real life. Excluding the blue cone it's not impossible. Dramatic, as Rashad stated, some of my favorite color nuances are gathered here. We have focus now, the old tower ruins with that bluish light attracts my attention and intrigues me, making me wonder what's happening there. The environment looks mystic with all the trees around, the ground material looks incredibly when lit the way shown here. You've done a pretty good job in the tree editor also. The sun-bright "cut" in the sky adds a little something to this image too (like a "hand" pointing out the mountains). I'm unsure if this was intentionally, Horo, but I like it very much. Great improvement oveall. Top vote scale!

WOW!

I like this one too! I love the colors you used and the texture on the trees. This to me looks like an oil-painting. The light coming from the sky looks like a beem from a spaceship. Another 5 for sure!

The sky looks great, I can see terrain edges in some places, maybe add those xfrog trees back to get some more of a woods feel. Also I think those mountains should be scaled and pushed far far back, and have a just a bit of haze.

Exciting sky colours, convincing as and extreme sunset - "the valley" is a little dark to tell us a great deal about it's form - however, the atmosphere more than makes up for this. The "negitive" images of clouds high above the ridge is a nice touch - even if it is not very realistic, it adds to the overall feel. Nice.

Thanks for your comments. Yes richter, the bright light in the sky is intentional. I spent a lot of time rotating and tilting the HDRI used. There's a lot of magick going on here. Gat says what I thought myself: there is a scale problem with the background ridge. It looks small, not majestical as intended. Oh, like an oil painting, and that from you Tina. Now I am nonplussed and my face is as red like this sky.

I've had to drink this one in for a while.

Somehow I get a feeling of unspeakable power from that bright area, like it's the finger of God ready to blast that castle into oblivion.

Sometimes I wonder about my imagination. ;-)

And a voice cried out from the heavens, "HEY! Get that light out of my eyes or I shall smite thee!"
