Day's End
Description: Playing around with sunsets. This one just a modification of the "Armageddon Suset" Bryce sky preset. The yacht models are from artist-3d.net, and the water texture is one I labored on for about an hour. Simple but I think it turned out good.

Everything looks good, but the lens flare is not right the right one, this one could be used for a flashing star, but for a sun I think some other should be used.Other then that, good job!

Photoshop lens flares are very unpredictable. This was the only one that showed up on the image. Any suggestions?

GIMP has better selection of lens flares :)
You could aslo try and make them yourself, but that is task for someone very good with photoshop. Also, if I recall it right, I think someone actually made lens flares inside of bryce using glass materials, and spheres. But am not sure.

Simple but nice. Like it. Never been a great fan of lens flare. Shows that fotographer forgot to put on the lens shade. But I do like the halo effect here.

The water has turned out well. Don't forget to engage distance blur option if you've not already done so - that should help supress the noise towards the horizon line. I'm not convinced about the choice of lens flair. You can use discs and spheres in bryce to simulate this effect but it is fiddly. You need to free up your ambient channel to work only on the materials used to create the lenz flair effect. You can either premake some halos in a paint package or use the procedural materials to get them to work. I can upload the materials I've made for this if you want to try, but like I said, it's rather a fiddly process. Appart from those minor points, I think the only thing I would change is to lower the camera and so that the eyeline coincides with the deck of the boats and then lower the horizon so it only occupies the bottom third of the image.
