We all get bored, that's why we play around with bryce. Great things can come from turning boredom into productivity, as you have done here. The reflections are what catch my eye, very interesting. It makes me think of Tina's image, not that it is a bad thing, just impossible to avoid mentioning. How long was the render time, and how many light sources did you use?

Hi,

This took about three hours and thirty seven minutes to render. There are two light sources, the sun and a radial light around earth. This was my first time importing somthing into bryce from poser and I was wonder if anyone knew the best way to do it. Right now I am exporting it as an obj file. Is there a better way to do it?

Nice work with mirrors. It is the pose of the lying figure and the Earth that remind of Tina's image, otherwise it is quite different. Nice work.

I'm not working with Poser but I think the best way is to import Poser figures into DAZ|Studio. From Bryce, you can open D|S, select the model, pose it and than just quit D|S to have the model in Bryce. That's the idea of the DAZ button in Bryce 6 when in Create mode. Personally, I go the way of exporting from D|S and importing into Bryce.

You've achieved some interesting effects here in your boredum. Striking colours, very brave choice. The figure somehow looks like she is floating - except where maybe her toes are touching the floor. As for Poser... it is torture exporting and importing and then tracking down all the material files. In the end, I gave up and just used DAZ/studio which is a little more bryce friendly - certainly as far as 5.5 and 6.1 go and it will recognise all the same content as poser. I can't say I'm a big fan of DAZ/studio, I seem to have the knack of crashing it, but at least it runs fast compaired to poser which really did bring my machine to its knees.

I like the way you used the mirrors. The rays bouncing off of them and the floating tubes. The colors you used for the backdrop are very pleasing. Did you like my piece? Ha Ha! Good job.
