Cool ship! Why is there a shadow underneath the ships? Are you right over clouds?

Very nice model. The environment needs a bit of additional attention. The sky and - as Tina's sharp eye has discovered - the shadow on the ground plane. There could be a shadow on clouds, but than they shouldn't be so flat.

The bottom is water not sky. It is just reflecting a lot more than it should

I almost feel like the environment is motion blurred. Which is good, because the sense of speed I believe is of great importance here. Good use of textures, both on the ships and the glass. Maybe you used the water material from the glass library, not from the water planes lib. You need at least a couple of ripples here and there to break-up that shadow a little bit. This shadow is not a bad thing, it is just not so real to appear in that way. The white traces from behind the engines are nice touch.

I like the ship and the formations, has a very 1960's SF book cover feel to it. Maybe that's because I have a lot on my bookshelves looking back at me. I'd suggest either focusing on the model more or adding something to the background, it seems a little bit empty as it stands.
