Great job, the only comment that I have is the lack of higher polygon count, this image is close to the objects so they need to have higher detail, why not add some in hex? or use terrains?

I like the setting, but the mushrooms look sort of metallic. Good job though.

Must say I'm loving the lighting. The ibl is very effective. I'm not so sure about the reflection values assigned to the mushrooms, but the texture used on them is very good and organic.

Gat as always knows his stuff, the polygon issue could be dealt with though as is now the scene is just fine.

The grass is an issue, mostly due to the idea of polygon counts, but also due to scale. Just how big are these mushrooms supposed to be? The grass should be taller than the mushrooms unless these are super giant mushrooms. I feel like I am an insect living in this micro-sized world, a very cool idea. Excellent work!

Not sure the grass should be higher than the mushrooms. If they grow in a forest, grass may be very low. At least, I often see this grass/mushroom size ratio hereabouts. Perhaps a bit more of them could be an improvement. Very effective lighting.

Actually, grass is often times higher than mushrooms. Reflectivity doesn't fit here though.

Keep working on it....

Good scene. I like the idea and it works well with the background. I agree that the models need some attetion, for close up work like this, with the mushrooms being the star of the show, attention to detail is needed. Good work, but room for improvement.

A very nice start and good randomization of the mushrooms' size. The placement looks natural enough. Just the one in the right end of the pic could use a slight rotation. From this perspective these buddies seem to be lined up. You will do well to bring some smaller mushrooms closer to the camera, some other a bit futher back, and leave the focus on the most biggest one (you wouldn't even need to put it in the center to have it more noticable). Very good choice for textures - organic yet rock-like. For the mushroom models Gat's right. The distance requires more detailed ones and you can use terrains to provide the "effect". My opinion is that you should work only on the edges of the mushroom's "cap". The rest is easily handled by the bump of the material. And as I use to say, "make more of those" mushrooms and then mix them with a lot of low-sized grass. Your machine can take the pressure :) Here's a link for free d-loadable plant models: http://3dplants.0catch.com/download.html and good luck!
