another impressive piece in terms of modelling, texturing, and lighting. your materials respond very well to your light dome. Excellent work!

lol nice! I love this lego models. The only thing I don't like is the reflective floor, I think should change it to a single color with a slight bump map, then render with IBL quality at half, and with soft shadows on. so premium +soft
and also turn off cast shadows for the ground plane, and then all that should give it that global illumination look hopefully, if you use the right hdri that is.

Gat I agree. However, Bryce 5 doesn't support IBL. I will change the ground to matte, without reflectivity, and maybe add a bumpmap. I've also been wanting to do soft shadows but didn't want to use up the render time...

Another beautifully made lego model. Yes, perhaps disable receive shadows for the ground plane and reducing the reflection a bit. If you're really up to upgrade to 6.1, now would be the time to get it at 1/5 regular price as gat mentioned. Upgrading to 5.5 won't get you IBL.

Yay! Sucessful update to Bryce 6.1! Thanks for the hint on the sales guys. I had the Corel version of 5.0, so I had to install the DAZ 5.0 first before I could upgrade. That took awhile to figure out...
