I believe this one is much nicer than your first one. It is more crisp. I think the darker background helps. I give 5/5. Great job!

Curiously... I think I prefer the first one. That is not to say this is bad, just a matter of taste I suppose.

I would recomend using one off hdris provided by daz, that way you can make it look as if this machine is outside, in the street, or any other place.

I find this one to be better because the background is more specific. The lighting in this scene is both ibl and not, as you have used point light sources also or you would not have any specularity response on those balls.

I'm not sure what your goals are but to me this is very much on it's way.

Hdr is great, but finding just the right hdr can mean starting from scratch. Tyr playing around with hdr shop.

I complained about the bright background in the previous one and I like this one much more. Also the balls look better. Lighting this scene with IBL was a good choice, but I am not sure whether the HDRI used was. Though a very universal one and David's favourite, another one might have been better. As gat says, it is sometimes better to render the HDRI in the background but it is not always very easy to place it right. I would not use any HDRI shown in the background here, but render it anyway and have the reflections on the ball. And as Rashad said, choosing the right HDRI for the job at hand may mean starting from scratch - several times.

I like what you've done very much and changing lighting would "only" make an aesthetic difference, and that is a question of taste. For me, you have earned a fiver for this outstanding work.

OH CRAP! Billiad Balls!! You should have warned me. Oh well. I needed dental work anyways. hehe

The modeling and lighting look good. I wish I could see the rest of the machine though. ;-)
