Lights in the twisted shrine
Description: Horo's excellent moon_bluegrey.hdr provides the light from outside. The sun is disabled. Five "floating" lights provide "inner" light. The "shrine" was made from bryce primitives and then these (after a bit of a battle and some head scractching) were combined into a single obj which was fed into the free ivy generator (see Horo's website) and a fairly bulky (500) ivy was grown and born and fed back into bryce to be rescaled and refitted to the original model. Minimal textures have meen employed, everthing has been kept quite low key for a deliberate effect. Not quite sure what it is all about, but I enjoyed making it.

I love the off-balance, crooked shape to the shrine. My favorite part is the white sphere balanced precariously on the tilted platform, it gives the image a lot of interesting character. Give the background some work, and the orbs could use a little something, perhaps an aurora around them, and this could be a great work.

Creepy. Looks like worms or small snakes that ivy on the ground. Icecreamman is right. This could be made to a great picture, it has huge potential. In the right context, the creepyness might disappear - or be more pronounced, depending on the way to go.

Thanks gat for that link. I appreciate such information.

Love the lighting! Your lighting seems to inhance each of your projects. Right On! I am slowly learning. I have'nt used the Bryce lighting since you explained how to do it your way. It's alot easier now though. Everything in this scene is so crisp and and real looking. It seems to me to be a very lonely place. A little creepy! Ha! Ha! Very nicely done.
