Infinite City Material
Description: The material used on the Infinite City 6 image. Since a few people commented on it and said they liked the look of it - here it is...

Slope sensitivity ensure windows do not appear on the roofs. Other than that it is a very simple material to use, add more to the ambient light if you want the windows to show up better in the shadows. They are also reflective to a degree if that helps.

Thanks David. I didn't ask for it (I was afraid to) but I take it eagerly.

Black Spots

First, thanks, great texture!

Second, the black pots (unless intentional) are caused by second texture>component 2>bump height. Got to lower it, and black spots will be gone.

Ah well, I only said this was the material I used, I didn't say it was perfect. Yeah, I do tend to like to use the bump height 100% if not 200% or in fact even as much as 400% but beyond that it does tend to break down. If you use the slider the range is 100 to -100 but if you type in the figures I think it's 998 to -998 (that's just an asside, in case you were curious and wanted to experiment with some very heavy bumps). I had noticed the black spots but kinda liked them. Along with the white patterns. I just thought it was the clipping of the suface through a transition point in the procedure - there are some levels in there which don't get much of a look in because of the quantisation filtering. But never mind eh?
