Description: A canyon scene I also made an .avi movie from. Thanks to david for the great tutorial on his website. Had some fun playing with the sky and canyon textures.

Looks like a good canyon to me but there is too much blue haze.

The landscape work here is outstanding!

The haze does appear out of place here. The look of the landscape suggests a dry climate to me. With no haze and a modified sky this image would really work for me.

4/5 for the landscape work.

The landscape does look promising. Sky and haze are do not fit this scene but may be good for another one.

I agree about the blue haze, for some reason it seems much stronger than it did on my computer. The landscape doesn't continue very far so I thought a little haze would help blend the end of the scene and cover up the big hole. But I think I'll reduce the haze and try again.

Very good work so far. I love the colors. The haze for me is not so bad, though less would look better. Haze can help give a sense of largeness and distance but it also puts a layer of smuck in between us and the image. Your insinct seems right to want the horizon to blend. I really wish bryce had a better haze generator, one that was more real with less close up and alot more far away where you need it. Great so far!

I wonder if I took the haze down and added some Depth of Field if that would help the blending....

If you wanted to use DOF then the way to work it in a scene such as this would be to have some small flowers in the foreground in sharp focus on the edge of a precipise and then the rest of the canyon out of focus beyond that. But given the overhead in render time, such a scene would probably be better off composited from two separate renders in a paint package. DOF mostly works on small things not large ones I've found. I'd go down the route of reduced haze and deeper shadow regions. Thanks also to Horo, for putting the tutorial together from my rather fragmented ideas.
