Aurora
Description: The reason why the poster hangs in the Hangar is not only because it shows the cockpit of the Wasp. After an exceedingly violent solar erruption three days earlier, this incredible aurora was visible even in daylight and such has never been seen on this planet. This is another picture the pilot took. They had to fly low because they feared the on-board electronics would get damaged by the charged particles.

Stong sense of movement in this image, feels like we are diving down into a chasm. The aura looks kinda solid like the underside of a giant wave - don't consider that critical, I don't really know what they should look like! Ground material looks well, but might benifit from some more direct lighting to bring out the bump. Good use of terrain shape and haze effect.

David has already mentioned what I was thinking. I think the sense of movement is hard to create and very impressive to me. The lighting is also quite nice although David's mentioning of some direct light on the terrain could be a good idea.

The colored gas from our outer atmosphere is a very bold choice and one you should be complemented on. I wouls have expected a bit more variation in color, it feels a bit like the bottom of a waterfall, and less of clouds, but I get your point anyway. I think a change to the color of the gas could do alot to make it look more like outer space. I love the camera angle.

When I did the scene for the Hangar picture, I made something wrong with the mirrors that should have made the terrain larger. Instead, they distorted the sky. It did look a bit like northern lights as I've seen on photographs (but not quite). So I worked a bit on that curiosity I came about by accident. Unfortunately, only the cumulus clouds can be given a colour. The stratus stayed white and I had to switch them off.

I can feel the speed too. And this is probably due to the terrain material's bright spots, stretched towards the flight of the Wasps. It's like those spots are motion blurred. You might have tried this already but if you add few more Wasps and raise the camera's pov angle, no one would deny that it's at least 900km/h you're flying with.
