Hangar
Description: ?The Ministry? and the vehicle ?Wasp? are from DAZ3D, the gasbottle, the oil cans and the PAW's (position adjustable workbenches - a NASA term for such trolleys) I found on the Internet, maybe they are even Bryce 6 content. The rags are terrains, the umbilical cable connected to the Wasp is a lattice, the fluorescent lamps were made with cylinders, the image is a separate render on a terrain with an alpha map made in PS. The scene is lit by the overhead lights (radials) and a low sun.

The lighting is very good, and the composition as well. But on the inside it looks like this is at night, but once you look at the window you see that it is a nice bright day, maybe it needs to be brightened up a bit, difficult to say.

The sky seen through the roof looks incredible. The blue color seems very natural and the clouds are just perfect. Good going with the cable and its positioning, hard to believe it is a lattice. I also like very much the fluorescent lamps, though you should've put more of them here and there. Or not.. I just feel too attracted by the radiated blue-white light. Nice to see that they really illuminate the nearest surroundings and not just glow. The only tiny quibble I have is with the shadows. I'd prefer to see them more pronounced under the Wasp and a bit more soft. Other than that - a great picture!

An atmospheric composition, I think I might have been tempted to lower the camera and tilt it back slightly to keep the roof in shot which looks very good in your lighting, like Richter I think more could have been made of the flourescent lights, maybe make the whole scene a little darker and have more pools of light and play of shadow from the lamps? The placement of objects and the balance of the whole scene is very good though so I would not meddle with that aspect of it. The rag on the floor do not convince me but the umbilical cable made of a lattice is excellent. I think there is room for improvement here, or at least variation within the lighting setup. The blue glow under the ship seems a little artifical considering the dense darkeness of shadows on the vessle. But these are minor points. I particularly like the angle of the sun and the shadows from the windows falling on the wall. That is a very good effect.
