The IBL bricks look like a photographic copy of the more commonly known. How about building up a complete house? Light is very nice, it looks as if being inside near a large window on an overcast day or at least without direct sunlight. The floor material is well choosen. Everything looks very 3D even though there are no hard contrast shadows.

Yes I thought someone might suggest a more extensive building project, that is why I was careful to include the brick model first! I didn't want to get hammered for any copywrite or design writes issues with the bricks which is why I've been careful not to state where I got the "inspiration" for them. And also, I didn't not "copy" the brick - except from my memory.

The addition of a little colour in the hdr seems to make a lot of difference to the "feel" of the image. The moon image provides excellent all around lighting but has also a sense of direction and in this example a hint of blue.

David, this is an excellent shot!! Great! If it wasn't the ground I'd say this is a pure photograph. I see the bricks are also slightly reflective and this combined with the Horo's hdr light make a perfect hard-plastic look. The main colors (white and red) are well chosen for the interaction with one another. I very much like how some of the reds are reflected in the white ones. The image has deffinately a feel of weight, caused by, once again, a proper positioning. Excellent job!

Thank you. Note, Horo's hdr contributes a great deal to the realism of this scene because unlike all of the hdr's I've found so far on the web, his provides a very even dome of light which produces high quality ambient lighting and virtually eliminates all shadow banding.
