I'm glad you took my advice and submitted some work to this site. Welcome.

Okay. You have some excellent textures going on here, particularly the aged iron for the pipes and the eyeball and white. There is alot of organic stuff going on.

The .hdr feature is very successful here. It is a big part of why those textures look so good, especially the pipes, as the bumpmapping is superb. The color ranges are very nice and the feel of the scene is rather un-brycelike, as you intended. The blur effect is effective. Curious, what were your ibl settings? Anyhow, a 5/5 no doubt.

I like the eye "thing" indeed. And the overall design, strange though it may be - is appealing. The IBL has treated the materials very well, my only quibble on this front would be the apparent lack of ground shadows, which give the appearance that nothing is in contact with the ground... however that might have been the intention - difficult to say given the subject matter. The IBL does add a un-bryce like quality to renders I believe - but that is no bad thing and certainly not in this case. 5/5.

A newcommer with a Killer Design in his works! Wow... Un-bryce but still Bryce. Very very good IBL, the Eye's tentacles and the pipe seem to have a procedural mat-s applied. They look amazingly real. With no shadows as it is now (maybe intended as David suggested), I'd classify this image as Philosophical Abstaction... Good post-blur fx.
