Strange, even scary maybe. I see hundreds of dark souls locked between our world and another one unknown. Some of the "skulls" seem to smile at the viewer, while others are trying to penetrate the world's boundaries.

Excellent reflective effect provided. The Blue of the plasma mat seems more like violet on my screen though. This is a striking image with well-deserved 5/5.

distortion

Talk about making the most of a few elements, this scene maximizes it's elements so well. The skulls are great, the gas also. The mirror work is especially clever in that the mirrors don't draw attention to themselves. The bump mapping of the skulls along with the distortion of some of the skull shapes made me think for a moment that there may have been crows or feathered things in the scene. I know that there are not any. I'm not sure but I think I see a trick for creating featherlike textures just behind the surface of this piece. Anyhow, nice effect the IBL has on the colors, as I feel the gas has a very magical effect, I feel like I can almost smell this scene. It's not a good smell, but the scene itself is very good!

Believe it or not, this is the first time I see this scary and superbly made render.

Apparently I made this. I'd forgotten. It was only because I was searching for panoramic renders on Bryce 5 - as you do, that I spotted it. Funny.
