bulls eye!

You actually made me laugh out loud when I looked at the thumbnail. Excellent work and a very effective piece of art! The devil indeed does have a way of tempting us with the most beautiful specimen.

This scene is an example of the kind of symbolic efficiency I've been talking about! Notice how this scene is properly minimal with no particular effort. Only putting in the elements required to make your point keeps the internal math consistent and guarantees that it will "add up" to the effect you want it to have. You demonstrate complete control from start to finish. I feel that this time you have hit the mark square on!!!!

Conceptually the scene is 100% complete in my view. The only changes you could make would be perhaps to search for ways to make that car as photo-realistic as possible. The more real that car the more your point is driven home literally for us auto lovers out there.

Thanks for the laugh!

I was wondering if the point was that the car itself was the devil?

The lighting and choice of materials is good, the car itself looks a bit wrong, not long enough perhaps and somewhat like it has been pressed out of a jelly mould.

Very nice, no doubt about it. What I think is missing is a bit light from below and perhaps a bit more specularity. The reflection on the side is a bit out of place of the rest - which doen't mean I could have made it better.

Adios Amigos!

I showed my Bryce images to a friend of mine in the Graphics Business, she said I should try Maya. I said, I heard of Maya and know it?s very expensive, she said it is, but I have a copy of Maya6 you can have.

So now my Bryce5 friends, I must say goodbye, but not forever.
It will take a few months to become proficient, even though Bryce is fantastic, Maya has much more to offer.

Look for my work in the Unrelated Programs in months to come.

So long for now, see you in the future!

see ya soon

I've been using Maya for years and it is trully amazing. It is the standard for any CG professional. It is also very much a techie tool, and it will not be as easy to learn as you may think. It is not a "fun" tool like Bryce. Maya can do anything! Really. It will take more than just a few months to explore it's infinite options. If your friend can provide you with a manual she will do you a great service. Also master the essential skills videos as they are the very basic interface explainations. Without them you will be lost. You will still find your way back to bryce though, as it does alot of things more easily and just as well.

Enjoy your Maya6, just be careful publicly posting works with a lent copy of a program like Maya.

That announcement of yours, dali54, would perfectly fit into the Halloween section. Bryce 6. finally hit the store, you go. Good luck anyway. Art counts, not the tool.
