Again, you have tackled very challenging technical issues. Lighthouse scenes are well known to be atmospheric nightmares. The mediums of water, sky, haze, fog, land, and piercing light from the lighthouse make these scenes really tough to make. I gave you ALOT of feedback on the other piece, so I'll give less on this one.
Actually, I feel you don't really need me to say anything. Look at Davidbrinnen's lighthouse scene. In fact, there are lots of lighthouse scenes on this site just search for the keyword. The effectiveness of each artist approach speaks for itself. You will likely come back and update this scene once you gain more control over the program. Another solid excersise.

It looks as if this has not been rendered completely. Look at the walls of the tower. Also, the near foreground terrain seems to have been rendered without antialiasing engaged. The light beam is not yet good, but this is always a bit of a challenge as Rashad said. The sea is excellent, the sky looks flat. But as you say, we learn as we go.
