i'm impressed

great image, the lighting is superb, the textures are spot on , except for the railing, that is if it is wrought iron.the other things that i see are minor, like the bricks above the door to the left are overlapping and the lanterns are a little too low, just minor details.

Almost 7 days of rendering...WOW! Beautiful image. This scene is all about those bricks! Good Heavens Man!! Very random seeming and very weathered. The railing needs work, but that is super easy to fix. The soft shadows are what make this jump up to near perfect realism. With a decent resolution photo of distressed bricks like these, I feel this same scene could be rendered in bryce5.5 with soft shadows producing absolutely identical results. It would probably take 7 days to render in Bryce5.5 also. Soft shadows do SOOOO MUCH for the reality level of a rendered image in any program be it Vue 5 Infinfinite or Bryce5.5 Infamous. What was your post work in photoshop? It looks to me like sharpness, contrast, and gamma enhancements may have occurred. I could be wrong. Amazing image. Can I borrow the brick texture if it's a photograph?

Excellent choice for textures and most impressive final render, LitoNico! I agree with Rashad, the soft shadows really level-up your image seriously. Very nice lanterns with a proper texture also. The dried plants are a fine touch and perhaps there I see a postwork - "burning" the color (if that's what it is) looks quite successful. 5/5 points for the Vue 5 user

If tonkin's impressed, I'm honored. Post consists of multiplying a shadow-pass over the image, gamma correction, and dirt on the window. The shadows are too dark and much too saturated, that's where the "color burning" effect occurs. Luckily, I can fix that in post. The railing texture is really quite bad, I made the mistake of using a preset on that. Vue has no good metals.
