A test of lights and mirrors. Soccer balls (footballs) made in Wings. To avoid setting the ray depth to infinity, I post-processed in some haze and blur. I always wonder how David made the horizon hazy on his images with mirrors- perhaps he can share his secret?
Also, if you hadn't noticed, the World Cup is soon starting.
Interesting lighting and good choice of materials. The "horizon haze" is no great mystery, in "Random Image", I just used sky haze set to 100 and fully black - the cumulative action of a bit of this black haze getting between the mirrrors eventually erases the horizon - which allowed me to get away with a ray depth of 6. The grid of dice was 7x7. Incidentally, the football models look really good, the seams between adjcent faces particularly. 5/5

The time being is a hard time for me - soccer everywhere, unescapable, not even here! Nevertheless, I have to admit that the balls look very leathery and real with the specularity setting used. Great work, even though I hate soccer.
