Golf Ball
Description: Just seeing if I could make a golf ball in Wings out of an isocohedron. If anyone wants, I could make a tutorial on making a golf ball and/or soccer ball in Wings. Lit with half of a Light Dome. Used levels in Photoshop to bring the contrast up.

The rendering/lighting materials choice is excellent. My only issue is that the dimple density looks a little low for a golf ball. According to the CBC Archives... whoever they are, there should be 336 dimples in an American ball.

i agree

david's right, great render but with more dimples this would be much more realistic.

He's right of course, the dimples on this ball are too few and too deep. However, if I added more dimples, my golf ball would look deformed.

I echo David's first sentence. I'm not that much into golf to know the dimple-details but I thought there are a bit large. Great work nevertheless.

I've never played golf so I couldn't have known about those dimples. That being said - the pic is very realistic. I guess the lighting does the trick. Agree - great work!
