Sunset Hills
Sunset Hills

Sunset Hills
Description: Just testing out a new sunset/sunrise sky. Water seems a bit dull, despite being set at 100% reflective and 15% transparent. Material on the hills is Lincolnshile Wolds. I tried to add snow, but that only demonstrated my inadequacy with the DTE. The sun is a bit dim, but I can't seem to add more light and keep the other properties of the sun the same. Any help?

I like what you did. A lake in the highlands, quite realistic. I think the water is ok, fits the sky. To boost up sunlight, I suggest the use of a second sun. There is that mini-tut by David and myself.

I actually used quite a bit of extra lighting, being one extra sun and two lightrings. I was wondering if there was a way to do it in the skylab, and without extra lights.

Not far as I know. The sky lab is quite limited in that respect. You've done a good job with the lighting here, it's realistic and easy on the eye. The texture applied to the terrain is good also, but deteriorates a bit as it gets closer to the camera.
