20'000 Leagues
Description: An attempt to catch the feeling of the narrative of chapter XV from ?Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea? by Jules Verne. The bathesphere was made in Wings3D, the chain in Bryce, the hose is a SmartPipe. The buried cannon was also made in Wings3D. The plant at right is a free resource from 3D-Caffee, all other ones are X-Frog plants from DAZ for Bryce. The Seashells for Bryce are again from DAZ. The Anglefish, Marlin, Manta Ray and Seahorse are from DAZ|Studio. The pink and amber cushion thingies were made in Bryce, so were seafloor, water surface and light rays. The grass is one of the vegetation presets from Bryce 5.5. Rendered with DOF.

Way to go, Nibor! Very good! Exceptional environment. The composition is great, as is the lighting all around the scene and the position of every single object there. The bathesphere's well modelled, water surface looks almost real. My only qualms will go to the light rays penetrating the surface. A bit too solid and defined. Everything else is great.

Oh, forgot this one - should it be so bright on 20'000 Leagues :)

Thanks for your comment. You're right, of course. The surface is way to near for 20k leagues, too. In chapter XV, they're not yet that deep, though. And there isn't a bathesphere mentioned, Verne must have been too carried away by the wonders of the seascape and forgot all about that one ...

As a fan of J.V. I like the feeling this gives. It may not follow the narrative exactly, the vibes are there. As richter suggests, the light rays could be a bit more fuzzy, like the ones from the bathesphere. Nevertheless, good job.
