how do you get the picture to be so big? All ive been doing is taking snapshots of the entire screen, then cropping the image.

You want big pictures?

I recomend the render to disc option that can be accessed from the main menu. Not only is it slightly faster than the on screen rendering option but it allow you to genertate images of almost any size whereas the on screen option is limited to 3000x4000 in the standard aspect ratio.
