worth the work!

Ylmar - you convinced me. I, myself, never tried to work with waves or alike but I've seen a lot. I don't know how much time you spent on this one but it sure worthed each second. The water is Terrific! Not too reflective, not too transparent. Good perspective to shoot the render catching the sky that well, which is actually also well made. My queries go to the boat which seems low lit. You see how the rocks are lit by the sun - I miss this on the boat. The far rock is good but the ones in front could use a bit smoothing. Other then that - great!

The dynamic of the wave and the colour and texture of the water are indeed very convincing. Look how the sky shines through at the crest under the boat! Richter is right about the rocks. Being all their life long in the water makes them round and smooth. And the light on the boat, as richter said.

Definitely good stuff!

I love the water in this one. The reflections on it are very nice...I'd be happier with the boat if we were able to see its textures a bit more; it doesn't seem lit by the same light as the water. Very nice image though!

Some of the best water I've seen! Excellet. Could do with more waves in the background visible over the crest, I like the positioning of the boat, the rocks are a little angualr, I've issues with bryces's inbuilt rock maker, I believe terrains do a better job more often than not and occasionally suprising things can be achieved with lattices. But don't be put off, it was worth it all for the water.
