This is the first time, I'm aware of you posting here. Excellent colour choice. Beautiful background. I won't comment on the figures, they're from DAZ, but the material put on is very nice. The pose of them is very nice, a bit like a mother welcomming her child. Very peaceful. Others might have done it in a blue hue, but here the yellow/orange/red appeals very much to me. I could recommend no improvement. Top marks from me.

thanks =)

Thank you, Horo! David talked me into posting here....I've been a bit leery of it, mostly because I had a lot of difficulty in other forums I've been a member of where there were some rather unpleasant "artists." I'm really glad you like this piece...It is definitely meant to be a mother welcoming her little one, so it's good to know that feeling carried through!

In agreement with Horo, he orange is very pleasing, a nice warm color. You couldn't have chosen a better material for anything here. Some blurred reflections would be nice, but that would put your render time through the roof. Perhaps I'm just picky, but the smile on the robot mother is somewhat disconcerting... looking very frozen and also a bit insane.

David did well. In my oppinion, this is a very friently home for your artwork. Peers are mostly helpful, there have been isolated but very short instances of sneering. And it has a size you can still overview. Deviantart is very confusing to me. I'm looking forward to seeing mor from you.

The colours are very appealing as is the concept and the balanced pose (which, speaking from my own struggles with poser figures, must have been a trial). I too noticed the smile... if it were on a human I'd be forced to agree, but given the strangeness of the figure itself, I feel that it is somehow fitting. The background is very curious and interesting, just the right balance between interest and vagueness. Blury reflections might have been nice, but then again... would it be worth the render time?

Now, as the 6th comment in line it is so much difficult to me not to repeat someone else's opinion :) I like the idea put within. Тhe bright warm feel your work provides is surrounding me as if the little one shares a bit of that true mother's welcome. Very interesting background. As Horo sais - you should post more pictures. You can very well handle these DAZ figures!
