Space MKII
Description: The Bug model again, downloaded for free from DAZ. A simple hazy star background based on the tut by Horo and myself, rendered in panoramic with the camera tilted to give the sinusoidal line from the horizon and lens flair added plus gamma compression to emphasise the contrast between lit parts of the model and not lit parts.

Go-go-go! It's wierd, it's curved, it's spaced and even DAZ-ed. I gotta learn finally how to make stars like these. Boy! I'm going to www.davidbrinnen.com and downloading this tutorial. But please, try another lens-flare:) This one looks too used. Buy a new camera with different lenses :)

Don't get me wrong, I was just wondering What If. If you already tried the rest of flares just share an opinion.

The Universe is a strange place and this part of it is no exception. The Bug looks good enough but I think, the horizon - or the sinusoidal bright line, does not fit in here.

You are right about the lenz flair, but that can be said about any lenz flair for myself since they have been done to death in video games, so all seem equally cheesey to me. But next time I feel the dangerous lure of the flair I will try to find another piece of software to make it. Horo and I will have to have artistic differences about the sinusodial bright line, since it was a concious choice and a carefully seleced angle of squirm I was looking for to compleiment the angle of the bug but never mind, you can't please all of the people, mostly this was an example to Mr. Q since I'd left a few comments on his space images reacently I wanted to visually demonstrate the points I was making so he could decide for himself if they were valid or not.
