Out of the blue
Description: Millenium Dragon2 from DAZ, a couple of terrains and a water plane rendered in panoramic projection. Still on that quest for a sky with real depth.

I see that water as cracked up ice. This is an unusual picture from David. How the dragon is placed is just fantastic, though. It makes all the difference. And this panoramic render without obvious distortion shows that the master was at work.

If it wasn't you, David, I would've almost forgot about this kind of terrain (cracked one). I believe you smoothed it a bit, right? I like the clean sky. Looks like polar or something with a very tiny cloud trails far away. Your work brings calmness to me and I can now echo Horo for the rest. Really good one!

Thank you. Aye the terrain is the cracked one, I filtered it first to raise eveything except the cracks to top level by drawing my own simple filter in the filter window thingy, then I smothed down the edges as you observed. This procedural can make some good crazy paving if you can get the cracks down small enough, I've sent Horo an example of the steps required in the hope he might make a little tut... when he has time. The panoramic renders change the rules so working in those for the last few months has made me rethink my approches and use features of bryce that were otherwise gathering dust.
