Flower Garden (Maya 5)
Description: This picture represents one of my first attempts to work with Maya 5. There's no environment but I think it looks nice anyway. I always wanted to create a garden combining different kinds of flowers. So... there you go :)

Wonderful colors! Looks quite sharp, nicely done. I like the arrangement too. How long was the render?

You constantly amaze me at the patience you must have to arrange that much tiny things and even make the result look so good. Hard to improve upon this one.

rendering

Nightst4r, I can't remember the exact time, but it wasn't so long. I know that Maya uses a different algorithm than Bryce to make things work or deform and that includes the rendering process. I guess 20 mins with my configuration (as it was posted in Forum).

Horo, these flowers weren't added one after another. There's a tool in Maya which helps adding (grass, flowers, etc.) with "painting" over surface, no matter how complex it will actually be (the surface). Although the amount of plants and quantity of leaves, petals and so on you see here really serious slowed my PC during making. Anyway - I still have my reserves of patience :))

The flowers look very convincing, less so the grass, but overall it must have taken some patience!
