New Age Livingroom

New Age Livingroom
Description: A 90's style living room. Complete with glass-topped modern table, halogen lamp, and uncomfortable-looking couch. Mostly a test of my wings modeling. Lit with a lightdome. Almost reminds me of ARMENIAN's work... perhaps I should do a Vimglasses version.

These all white versions under the light dome are very apealing to the eye. I'd say the angle was rather confusing, for it looks to me like the settee could do with some legs otherwise your knees would be up in the air if you put your feet flat on the floor. Materials for fabrics are very tricky and you could do with some cussions scattered on it to give it a more random appearance. I like the design of the lamp, that's excellent and the table would not look out of place in the 70's let alone the 90's. To create a fully populated interior should take between 6 and 8 hours, given this as a head start. I'd say turning the scene to all glass and metal would be somewhat easier than trying to replicate soft furnshings and interior lighting, but either will be worth the effort. Good luck!

The angle is not particularly confusing; the couch is very low to the floor. I made everything purely out of whimsy. The halogen lamp is modeled off of one sitting in my office. I'm wondering what other parts of "new era" furniture I could add, bar a Rubic's cube on the table. I'll most likely do a vimglasses version, I could only do the full indoor in Vue. It'll be fun, I've always wanted a glass rubic's cube. The vectors will be difficult, especially at this size.

I understand, this is an exercise in Wings and as such excellent. Putting a rug on the floor, cloth on the sofa and things could make this place a bit more cosy. Why Vue? What can't it be done in Bryce?

This place isn't meant to be cosy. Why Vue? Well, I can do realism better in vue, though ultra-realism bryce works better. I also don't have enough experience with bryce's lighting for an indoor scene that would satisfy my perfectionism. In Vue, a couple of radial lights, the sun, and radiosity would have my lighting set. I'm sure it could be done in bryce, though not be me. Would anyone like to try? The models I can e-mail to anyone who likes.

I've tried a vimglasses verion, and I can't make it how I want it. It simply doesn't work with all of this order.

Super! I think it'll be awesome sharing models. LitoNico, very nice lamp you got there. I like the "white-art" conception of yours. But why trying to get as close as possible to Vimglasses when you could create your own "wave" of makin' things look amazing with only 1 color and shades. Ain't that right? :)
