Spaghettisierung (Turning to Spaghetti)
Description: Stephen Hawkins spoke from Turning to Spaghetti in his A Brief History of Time (1988). It means the effect a strong tidal force produces near a huge gravitational potential as typically found at Black Holes.

The main picture is from
http://www.ifa.hawaii.edu/~wang/gallery/wallpapers/MilkyWay-25001600.jpg.
To capture this ?Spaghettisation?, I had to create a special lens in front of the Bryce camera and move it in 0.01 Bryce steps to the right position. The result of the render became the material for a 2D-Face positioned in front of the 2D-Face with the main picture.

Between the transparent interior of the ring and the main picture, a 2D-Disk with a mirror material was placed, behind the camera a whole landscape was positioned and lit by a spot. A lightring between the astro picture and the landscape lights everything, the Bryce sun is switched off.

The main picture is reality, the spaghetti-ring scientifically sound, the landscape of a binary system with a cool Red Giant and a bluish White Dwarf a product of another dimension of my imagination. The land has no atmosphere but features water nevertheless. A lot of impossible things that might be rounded up with a breakfast at Milyways, the Restaurant at the End of the Universe.

Extraordinary

It's hard to describe what I see. The Pic is more than amazing. Interesting blend of reality and imagination. The way the lightring lights your scene makes me feel convinced that I'm looking at some great painting of an artist or something. Quite an effect with the "another dimension". Top marks!

Very imaginative use of images and idea's. To me it looks highly organic, like a view thorugh some kind of sphincter, the starry matter looking distrubingly fleshy... Or a babies eye view through a highly symetrical belly button?
