GT40 Cave Painting
GT40 Cave Painting

GT40 Cave Painting
Description: Bryce5.5 with gamma correction in PSP7. Phew... I don't know how to go about describing this one, it's kinda complex. I rendered an altitude mask and an image of the car (GT40 obtained from DAZ3D) in overhead view with one lighting set up, converted that to a terrain and used the image to "skin" it along with an altitude sensitive cave material blend, then put in a stack of lights and rendered again from the overhead view - which is how I've managed to retain the isometric feel - so its sort of flat/3D mish-mash of idea's here.

Cool effect David,I like the glassy look of the mat on the car....For some reason I hear the Speed Racer theme song when I look at this.

Another amazing idea to tinker with. This looks as a mix of photograpgh and comics. The material used to bring out that specularity is unmatched. But -- this doesn't go for a cave painting because of the shadow. Nevertheless, a superb piece of art.

I like it but I have too concur with Horo. The shadow and the general look of the car make it stand out from the wall. It looks too 3 dimensional to pass as a painting. I like the texture of the wall and the car thought. ;-)

Interesting, both the way making it and the result. If I try not to look at the bump cave-mat and "erase" the shadow of the car, I see a photo of a tattoo on man's body. Although it's great the way it is now! Good, good.
