o wow...this is beautiful!5/5

Amazing job nibor. This image has a lot of fantasy built into it, kinda reminds me Fable the game ('cept without that annoying misty-ness). You really got feeling into the characters, especially that troll about to give Vicki the flowers- he looks very welcoming:) I can also see a lot of detail with the environment. Tell me, does 5.5 make the environments easier to make? Cause the moss on the rocks, the sky, the shrubs, the mountains, the plain (or is it a terrain?)... all of it is awesome, I REALLY LOVE THE ROCK TEXTURES!!- you did a good job matching the people into the right environment.
>>one of my favorite part of this image is the lighting- the heavy shadows accompanied with the yellow glow really make it feel like that 'almost-night-but-still-day' sorta feeling (i love that feeling).
As for improvements, not a lot.. the shadow of the tree cast onto the troll with the flowers- I would suggest adding a light to it to soften it up a bit. And the fire inside is a bit mellow, although it adds on to the fantasy feeling so you might have made it like that on purpose.
All in all, Great Job! Keep em coming...

Tnx 4 ur nice comments. Bryce 5 and 5.5 are different in the way you can import DAZ objects. So doing environments is pretty much the same in both. The materials on the landscape are all self made and highly dependent on the lighting applied. I have a yellow sun that gives the warm evening color, in the foreground I used a lightring (see tutorial by davidbrinnen). The flowers in the trolls hand got a bit too yellow so I put on an additional small white light to correct the colors. I only noticed the shadow after I had the large render finished.

I know of trolls from Tolkien's Little Hobbit and there, they are a real bad lot, turning to stone when hit by sun light. Being portraied as a decent kind of folks is a nice deviation from the ordinary. I've met quite some people in nice suits that turned out to be ugly. Here, we meet ugly people that are nice. I like that. Yes, and I also often set up things in smaller sizes and get surprised when looking at the final render.
