Jellyfish
Description: Bryce5.5 with gamma compression in PSP7. Thanks to Zethara of pointing me in the direction of Smartpipe and Madmax, of (madmax@renderring.com) who made it. I took the metasphere and turned them into ordinary spheres to speed up the render. The four tenticles are Smartpipes and the main body I modeled in wings3D. Once again I've experimented with a little DOF to separate the model from the background. The material used on the model is "unreal" in that it is both totally reflective and transparent at the same time, this makes appear very bright under most circumstances, but in a low light setting such as this it has the property of showing off what is inside it.

Astonishing

Yes, this is absolutely astonishing. Very real looking - somehow mechanical - inside. The segmentation of the smartpipe could make it useful to create ordinary worms. The only thing I can complain about is that there are no 6 out of 5 to give. Another genuine masterpiece you can be very proud of.

Thank you

I think it is the regularity of the shapes and the uniform nature of the materials used that give it that mechanical look - nature is usually a little less than symetrical or smooth. Gald you like it!
