Sunset and Pylons Pt2

Sunset and Pylons Pt2
Description: My thanks to photographer Kirsty http://kirstwils.deviantart.com/ for giving me her kind permission to dupliacte her sunset and pylons2 deviation http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/20782659/ in Bryce5.5. This is no longer the exact duplicate I envisioned but a kind of hybrid, although I have got around to making the pylons in wings, now I have them imported into Bryce they somehow seem more threatening than I had imagnined. Maybe I made the metalwork a bit too heavy duty. The stars and moon are gone and I've focused more on getting a greater sense of clarity to the sky. Due to an odd limiation of the byrce atmostpherics the sun and the moon can't usually appear in the same shot, I'm thinging of ways to get around this... Hmn... Maybe in the next image...

Very nice, i love it. Its even better than the real photo i think. Good work once again.

I'm starting to improve my bryce5/poser5 skills, but how do i import a full figure from poser with hair and all into bryce? Please Help

Ah...

If you are on 5.5 then I recommend going via DAZstudio since it sorts out all the material issues, otherwise a) the dynamic hair does not seem to work properly unless you go via wings3D and have a tinker with it - as a seperate object and b) you need to search out all the materials when the figure is imported which is fiddly. I can't say I've really mastered this aspect of Poser5/Bryce5 hence if you look many of my figures are bald and many of them are textured in my own procedural materials rather than a UVmap. Maybe the best place to look is DAZacarna which is on the DAZ site and consists of some useful tutorials for this kind of thing. Curiously in my version of 5.5 the studio is not capable of fitting the hair to the figure but I'm still running beta software because my OS is tossed from all the bugtessting and I need to clean it down and start again - but when I'll get around to doing that I don't know...

Sun&Moon

The pylons are great, even if they are heavy duty. Great isolators! Threatening, yes, quite a bit so. Nevertheless, rather acurate. True, Sun and Moon cannot be on the Bryce sky together, nature is a bit more advanced and can do it. You can always ?cheat? a bit. See my ?Crop? for a hint.

Althoug this is a strong picture, it departs from the original somehow more than your initial entry. If the first pylon were further away and the angle of view different, it would be closer.
