GT500 sunset
Description: This last week has mostly concerned with trying to animate an image of the doomday machine in a panorama view as Richter suggested - well, I have four animations of the scene now and even on the most massive compression I can apply they are still weighing in at over 4mb and looking pretty ropey too. Grr... I don't think me an animation are going to be friends. This as you can see is the DAZ GT500 model in another attempt at a "moody" scene, the cottage came from the DAZ content disc, it's just something there to balance up the composition.

The camera

Everything looks great, but I think the camera angle is a bit too much. I just can't look at that picture without rotating my head sideways :-). I think less degresses on the camera's rotation would have made this look even better.

As for the animation... Try less fps. The "massive" compression doen't do much.

Agree

The rotation is strong, The animation... if you wanna put it on ur site and link it in, i don't think it enforces the file size restriction.

I love the little house in the back.. LOoks like the gingerbread house.

Ok, forget about the angle for a sec. What I see here can be called a good-looking-everything (although there's a bit empty in front of the house, I see grass but... there could be something else... more grass :))) ) From all the works Dave had post I was convinced that he is good at setting the light and the sky. It brings the moody feeling out, oh yeah! Uh, by the way, can I rent the car for a while?

P.S. Beautiful reflectons!

Animations. Er... well until my webman can get his head around setting up some webspace for such things, nowhere yet - I'll let you know when - but I warn you, they are big files for tiny animations - need faster machines, faster internet and cleverer compression software.

Thanks for your kind remarks about my GT500 image, the angle is strong, but that's the intention, maybe it is too strong for some but well, you've got to give these things a try.

Notoriously late at everything, lately. I hate that interesting time moves fast and boring one slow. It should be the other way round.

For that kind of scene, I also find the camera angle to be a bit strong. If the look angle were from higher above, it could be the view from a chopper going to crash. Nice cotage, though. Lighting is superb. Nobody seemed to have noticed the trees at left, almost silouhettes, very nice. Beautifully composed.
You can give Richter the car. I'm not a car buff. My rusty one still does it. Clean windows, lights and door handles and clean licence plates in order to not drawing the attention of the cops is all I need, apart from a running engine and working brakes (though I use the car to drive, not to park).

Maybe..?

I'm thinking about some trees far right - only for the shadow on the asphalt between house and the cars (kind of gobo - trees not in FOV). I like the light - odd but beautiful. ;)
