Over the clouds
Description:	Biplane model I got from DAZ in exchange for some of their credit in exchange for putting a pic in their gallery (so in other words it cost me nothing but time). Placed in a scene (with additional lighting and layered cloud planes) to achieve what I hope is the illusion of flying over the clouds. I may try doing the same trick with volumetrics - if I think it will render up this side of doomsday!

Illusion

Landscape is very good, the fog creeping up the slope quite realistic. Brings back the memory of a time when I stood for weeks in weird clothes at such places. It's usually windy, wet and quite cold >shiver<. I like the lower part of this pic. The mist does not meet the sky in this way. The upper part is not realistic. If you go for realism, let it up as uniform white-grey mist; like at left. You don't see any clouds in this weather, they're hidden by the mist. I don't get the illusion that the plane flies over the cloud, rather into the fog. From an artistic point of view, you did an excellent job.
