Cape Tribulation
Cape Tribulation

Cape Tribulation
Description: More of an undersea scape more then a landscape. The red and turquise fish are Coral trout, the large multicolours are moon wrasse and the thing that looks like a jellyfish is a sea wasp (very poisonous and often fatal). Cape tribulation in Northern Queensland, Australia is the place where the great barrier reef nearly touches the coast. Tropical Rainforest and coral reef the 2 most biologically diverse of bioms exist side by side.

Looks very nice, indeed. Plants and corals are pictures, I suppose. Something with the lighting is odd. I wonder about the fish. Are they objects or 2D pictures?

The larger green plants are terrrains I made from photoshop greyscales- I made brushes specifically for them. The coral trout, moon wrasse & yellow perches are all terrains with a picture stuck on them as a texture. I use the filled outline of the picture to shape the terrain and lighten the parts proportionately to thicken them. The coral trout I bought from the fish market and photographed then I grilled it with chervil, butter and lime. The foreground coral is a photomontage of my own photographs

Tks

Thanks for the clarification. To do plants and beast as terrains hasn't occured to me. I do terrains as greyscales in PS, too. Gives you more control over it. Thanks again for the good idea.
