Description: I enjoy making animations- It seems to me that there are 3 aspects that make computer graphics different to painting, drawing etc- animation- things can move,
radience- that a work can glow with light and 3 dimensionality, although I have seen 3d movies in the cinema... I can make stills, but I enjoy animation. it is challenging... Ken (Melbourne Australia)

Yes animation is a bit too challenging for me, I've tried my hand at it a couple of times, short sequences where the camera moves through a static scene or the ground changes from solid to liquid or the sky shifts - which kind of work, up until I come to the compression stage and I feel that I have to compromise the quality of the render to such a degree that it become more about the animation than about the art - your anmimations are far cleverer than my own, (and visually smaller) so you can get away with more but I still suspect that if you focused the same effort into a still image that it would appear more impressive to the casual observer than your animations do. While I, who as I have said, have tried and failed, remain very impressed.

Animation is the 4the dimension! You are doing good things, eelnek. It is not easy, I can tell from many tries and more errors. It is a question of priorities: high quality artwork as a still pic or -- at least when putting on the web -- low quality animation. You found an interesting way to make animations, they look quite good even in low res and un-smoothed with all the missing frames.

True

I mean your still under the size limit! =) You have almost 450K left over in size. Nicely done.
