Bound
Description: Oh here we go, another image from the toubled and troubling world of Poser5. As you can see I've been tinkering with bringing figures in from poser again, with what passes for dynamic hair once it has been passed through an intermediate format. This is three renders (did I mention it was troubled) two, one in focus and one out and a distance mask all of which were combined in PSP7 to create the variable focus effect. Lighting and focus I was happy with, pose (so - so) the bulk of my problems have been with the skin and trying to get the right level of ambient, speculative and bump response. (Still not that happy with the results but this is the best I've been able to manage so far) On the plus side, I was happy with the composition.

not bad

She looks a little bit metalic in the shade... Interesting non-the less.

Compostion is Great

I like the comp. but her lower torso looks distorted and herface has no expression.

Your lighting is fab. as always, oh God of lighting!

Better than ?not bad?

Female and snake that mutates to a hoop. Cool design. What sort of hidden meaning and conclusion might a psychologist come up with? The face is lovely and lively, I do not agree with dali54 here. The hair looks like a wig but at least not like a plastic one. So many skin colours: white, black, yellow, red but to get anyone right is a real challenge. I see that reflectivness of the skin in the shadow as well. I'm not sure about that apparent distortion where the leg joins the hip. It might be a trick the light plays. Otherwise, I find the pose rather convincing. Lighting is superb. I wonder whether the focus effect -- though very good -- was worth all that trouble.

Knowing what dynamic hair looks like after Bryce has chewed it and spit it out..you did remarkably well. UV mapping or? But it should be falling away from the face in this pose. Maybe some calculate dynamics option is in order? I never quite managed to make it look well but had gone ahead well with dynamic clothing and I have no reason to believe hair should act otherwise. SO maybe you would be interested in checking this tut here that deals with dynamic clothing and how it acts - http://www.renderosity.com/tut.ez?Printable=632&Form.sess_id=29022809&Form.sess_key=1107422556 .

Otherwise, good idea! She looks rather unpertubed by the fact that she's bound hehehe.

I'm sure a psychologist would have a field day - I'd like to bind a woman up preferably somewhere in the vacinity of my kitchen - not a very PC view to hold I know, but I lack cooking skills - sadly I also lack social skills and diplomacy so I guess it's the same old stodge for supper again - where is this going, oh yes, deep dark meaning aside I must confess that the face is just standard poser5 Judy and I've done such horrible things to her in the past that I'm afraid to use anything but standard poses. The focus effect... well you've got to try these things - maybe it has turned into a bit of a bodge. The hair, clearly the observations about dynamics are correct, I'll have to give that calculation thing a try but I don't know poser awfully well and it runs so slow it does not encorage me to experiment. Nightst4r correctly picked up on the metalic nature of her skin, I was trying for a lazy radiosity effect but clearly overcooked it a bit. Horo is correct about the hip distortion, well spotted, I was trying to hide it behind the hoop and pretend it was there for modesty but you caught me out.
