Titan
Description: There were 435 artcontest participants, the works of the first 22 have been published at http://www.planetary.org/saturn/artcontest.html this one is not among them. Obviously, my rank lies between 23 and 435, with a slight tendency to the higher end, I suppose. The picture should anticipate, what the Huygens probe would find on Saturn's moon Titan with a strong angle on dramatism.

Water, sky, composition, planet, probe - excellent, no problems there. Terrain... hmn... how can I put this. It's a bit spikey in a less convincing kind of way, and the material (bearing in mind I have no concept of what rocks are like on Titan) does not seem to lend itself. Take the terrain, crank up the rez to 2048x2048, apply subcontors, a few mounds and a bit of slope noise - maybe the firn/neve mat and then we will see. I know that sounds a bit critical, but it seems a shame when everything else is working so well to be let down by a bit of pointyness. 4/5 for now.
