I guess that's what he gets for being in a cave... hehe...

The darkness was used to portray an illimitable abyss (all the black in the background). Further, it did something I hadn't expected, and it made the grass look like actual grass does in the dark when the moon's out: tinge blue-purple.

The Void

I agree with Nights4r, it's a bit dark. I turned brightness and contrast on my monitor full throttle and got dark grey for black, I've noticed the void in the back then. A little bit ambient light would benefit the otherwise excellent picture.
