i like this one more than the other one... but that turtle in right looks odd.. like it was climbing somewhere on top of the water?but there does not seem to be anything to climb on? i like the reflections and the feeling though :)

Polished

The quality of the models and how well this is done is excellent. Realistic water, excellent models of the wildlife, and the great looking flora with the camera positioning, can't fault it. It looks very polished and professional. 5/5

Great!

I completly agree with Frozencry, very polished. literally, too. try a more agressive bump on the turtles backs.

I'll second that cool

The water is very good, I think I prefered the first version (composition wise), which due to being busy I missed but I have seen it now. And the water is good on that too. So full marks all around. Except I would also like to see some bumping and maybe a bit of specularity on the shells of the turtles (as opposed to reflection which makes them look a bit metalic) so bumping and specularity, yes. Good work.

Thanks

DAZ uses uvmaps for materials, i.e. pictures. The turtles are too near for this. A bit of elaboration with a second and third material channel to add some bump and specularity on the shell would certainlyhave improved the appearance.

Gueran is right, I did the turtles the cheap way -- right out of DAZ Studio without moving one limb. Water turtles don't swimm on the surface the way shown. They're either submerged or climb on land, like the left one.

The water also pleases me. Most of the effort for this (and the other) scene went into it. Finally, it is very simple. I will probably upload it to the mat exchange. Keep in mind, that the angle of light and camera are very important, too.

I'm in love with this piccy - I've seen it when I was stil considering buying Bryce (I've been a Photoshop maniac for years and was reluctant to try myself in an area that I never worked on) but your piccy was one of those that amde me get it. Thanks :)
